Add app

Basics

Apps sharing the same group collapse into one dropdown section on the dashboard. Set automatically when added via Scan for projects.

FTP logins are usually chrooted to their own folder already — the remote path is relative to that account's root (often just /), not the server's full filesystem path.

Source (GitHub)

Lets this app deploy straight from a GitHub commit instead of the local folder — that's what the live dashboard on your phone uses. Subfolder is only for repos holding several apps.

File sync connection
Build step

Vue projects always build locally before deploy — only the output folder below gets uploaded, not the source.

File sync

Zips the whole project locally, uploads it as one file, then extracts it on the server — much faster than transferring thousands of small files one by one. Always backs up + clears the remote folder first (the checkbox below doesn't apply), keeping the 2 most recent backups. Needs a Database update connection with shell access, since extracting requires unzip on the server — the file sync connection alone can't run it.

The Remote folder path's full server path over SSH (FTP paths are relative to the FTP root, which SSH can't see). Leave blank to auto-detect.

SSH login used to run unzip on the server:

Renames the existing remote folder to foldername_timestamp (instant, no data transfer) and deploys into a fresh empty folder — so a bad deploy is one rename away from undone. Only the 2 most recent backups are kept; older ones are deleted from the server automatically.

Database update

Vue projects are frontend-only — there's no backend to run database commands against.

Presets

This needs shell access, which isn't always the same login used for file sync (e.g. Hostinger's per-domain FTP accounts usually can't run commands). Each command runs in Working directory; if any command fails, the rest are skipped.

Deploy

For this deploy only. The app's saved commands stay as they are.

    .env

Edits the live .env file directly on the server over the file sync connection. It's excluded from regular deploys on purpose, so this is the only way this dashboard touches it.

No .env file found at this path yet — saving will create one.

    Terminal

    Quick
Runs over this app's SSH login, one command at a time. cd carries over; ↑/↓ for history; Ctrl+C stops. Interactive programs (vim, nano, prompts) aren't supported.

    Edit file

Saving writes straight to the live server. There's no undo, so download a copy first if you're unsure.

    SSH Credentials

Save a login once (like your Hostinger SSH account), then reuse it across apps instead of retyping it every time.

Pre-fills an app's remote folder path when you pick this credential — just add the specific subfolder, if any, instead of retyping the whole thing.

    GitHub

Create a fine-grained token at GitHub → Settings → Developer settings, with Contents: Read-only (and Metadata) on the repos you deploy. It's stored encrypted in the vault and only used to download code.

    Two-factor sign-in

After your master password, the dashboard will also ask for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, Aegis…).

    1. Scan this with your authenticator app.

On the phone you're using now? Open in authenticator app, or type this key in by hand:

To turn it off, enter a current code from your authenticator app.
